    B-I-B-L-E

A father was approached by his small son, who told him proudly, "I know what
    the Bible means!"

His father smiled and replied, "What do you mean, you ‘know' the Bible?"

The son replied, "I do know!"

"Okay," said his father. "So, Son, what does the Bible mean?"

"That's easy, Daddy. It stands for ‘Basic Information Before Leaving
    Earth.'"

    a week of wash days.......

As King David said, WASH ME THOROUGHLY FROM MY
INIQUITY, AND CLEANSE ME FROM MY SIN.
                            ( PSALM 51:2 *NKJV )

We all hope that the Lord will wash away our sins when
we repent, and thus remove them from "The Book of Life."

Now, I received the following from one of our Subscribers,
and it will give us a weekly schedule for our chores as a good
Christain.  Therefore I hope you will enjoy this message as
much as I have.  It is titled.....

                                        Wash Day...........

    Monday Wash Day
Lord, help me wash away all my selfishness and vanity, so I
may serve you with perfect humility through the week ahead.

    Tuesday  Ironing Day
Dear Lord, help me iron out all the wrinkles
of prejudice I have collected through the years so that I may
    see the beauty in others.

    Wednesday Mending Day
O God, help me mend my ways so I will not
set a bad example for others.

    Thursday Cleaning Day
Lord Jesus, help me to dust out all the many faults I have been
hiding in the secret corners of my heart.

    Friday Shopping Day
O God, give me the grace to shop wisely so I may purchase
eternal happiness for myself and all others in need of love.

    Saturday Cooking Day
Help me, my Savior, to brew a big kettle of brotherly love and
serve it with clean, sweet bread of human kindness.

    Sunday  The Lord's Day
O God, I have prepared my house for you. Please come into my
heart so I may spend the day and the rest of my life in your
    presence.

    Why Go To Church????

    ASCRIBE TO THE LORD THE GLORY DUE HIS NAME;
WORSHIP THE LORD IN THE SPLENDOR OF HIS HOLINESS.
                                     ( PSALM 29:2 *NIV )

LET US NOT GIVE UP MEETING TOGETHER
AS SOME ARE IN THE HABIT OF DOING, BUT LET US
ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER-AND ALL THE MORE AS
YOU SEE THE DAY APPROACHING.  ( HEBREWS 10:25 )

Now I know that you may be asked by some, "Why Go
       To Church?"   So...........

                                    Why Go To Church?

A Church goer wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and
complained that it made no sense to go to church every Sunday.
"I've gone for 30 years now," he wrote, "and in that time I have
heard something like 3,000 sermons.  But for the life of me, I
can't remember a single one of them. So, I think I'm wasting my
time and the Pastor's are wasting theirs by giving sermons at all."

This started a real controversy in the "Letters to the Editor"
column, much to the delight of the editor.  It went on for weeks
until someone wrote this clincher:  "I've been married for 30 years
now.  In that time my wife has cooked some 32,000 meals.  But,
for the life of me, I cannot recall the entire menu for a single one
       of those meals.

However I do know this...  They all nourished me and gave me
the strength I needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me
these meals, I would be physically dead today.

Likewise, if I had not gone to church for nourishment, I would
be spiritually dead today!"   Thank God for our physical and our
spiritual nourishment!  So , COME, LET US
BOW DOWN IN WORSHIP,  LET US KNEEL BEFORE THE
LORD OUR MAKER, FOR HE IS OUR GOD AND WE ARE THE
PEOPLE OF HIS PASTURE, THE FLOCK UNDER HIS CARE.
       Amen!                                              ( PSALM 95:6-7 )

So I'll see you in Church Today my friend!  You will find me in
the front row, if not in person, then in spirit!

    a Lie funny

A clergyman was walking down the street when he came upon a group of
about a dozen boys, all of them between 10 and 12 years of age.

The group surrounded a dog. Concerned lest the boys were hurting the
dog, he went over and asked "What are you doing with that dog?"

One of the boys replied, "This dog is just an old neighborhood stray.
We all want him, but only one of us can take him home. So we've decided
that whichever one of us can tell the biggest lie will get to keep the
    dog."

Of course, the reverend was taken aback. "You boys shouldn't be having
a contest telling lies!" he exclaimed. He then launched into a ten
minute sermon against lying, beginning, "Don't you boys know it's a sin to
lie," and ending with, "Why, when I was your age, I never told a lie."

There was dead silence for about a minute.  Just as the reverend was
beginning to think he'd gotten through to them, the smallest boy gave a
deep sigh and said, "All right, give him the dog."

    a doctor funny

A four-year-old was at the pediatrician for a check up. As the doctor
looked in her ears, he asked, "Do you think I'll find Big Bird in here?"

    The little girl stayed silent.

Next, the doctor took a tongue depressor and looked down her throat. He
asked, "Do you think I'll find the Cookie Monster down there?"

Again, the little girl was silent.

Then the doctor put a stethoscope to her chest. As he listened to her
heartbeat, he asked, "Do you think I'll hear Barney in there?"

"Oh, no!" the little girl replied. "Jesus is in my heart. Barney's on
    my underpants."

    trash day funny

    TRASH DAY
    By W. Bruce Cameron
    www.wbrucecameron.com

Every Wednesday morning for the past nine years, my wife has
interrupted the usual flow of chaos by shrieking, "oh my gosh, it's trash day!"
The children, all three of whom are in various stages of school
preparation, react to this statement as if she has just spoken Romanian,
stopping and staring at her in numb incomprehension. "Hurry!" my wife urges
    them.

Being obedient children, they immediately proceed to hurry. However,
with no specific instructions beyond that, they don't seem to be hurrying
to do anything in particular--certainly, trash collection is in no way
involved. They bump into each other in the hallway a lot, shouting at
each other to "get out of the way!"

"Gather up all the garbage!" my wife and I command. The kids respond by
forming a committee to debate the fairness of this directive. After a
brief discussion, they reach the consensus that everyone should be held
responsible for his or her "own" junk. As corollary to this absurd
principle, they initiate an anthropologic study into the contents of each
receptacle. For example, since the parents cook, most of the trash
under the sink is "theirs." My oldest daughter haughtily declares that she
"never" throws anything away. My son, checking through the downstairs
trash can to gather evidence that he's not accountable for that one,
begins to feel remorse over some of the things he's discarded, and starts
    pulling items out.

"We're running late!" my wife warns. This could be our Official Family
    Motto.

I recently purchased a shredder for my confidential documents, only to
discover I don't have any confidential documents.  However, a
fifteen-year-old girl's entire life is cause for secrecy, and I can hear her
using the device now, grinding up correspondence from her friends in
school. "We don't have time for that!" I tell her. A few minutes later, my
son joins her and begins shredding what sounds like a potato.

The school bus chugs by, and I pick up the phone to call the attendance
line. "For absences, press 1," the recording tells me. "For late
arrivals, press 2. If you're the Camerons calling because it's trash day,
    press 3."

"We're pigs," my oldest daughter announces. I regard her warily. "We
    throw away too much stuff."

"It would be better just to dump it all on the floor in your bedroom
    like you do," I agree.

Despite my expectations, a single garbage can has now found its way to
the curb. My son places it in the center of the driveway, so that no
one will be able to drive to work. A gusty wind blows an empty milk jug
out of the container and into the woods. My boy responds with the
reflexes of a glacier, watching the carton bounce away.

I open the door. "Hey!" I tell him. "Go get that!"

He stares at me blankly. "The milk jug!" I yell.

"Oh, okay, Dad!" he responds cheerfully. Having seen his bus pass by
has put him in a euphoric mood. He picks up a second plastic milk
container and, to my amazement, tosses it into the wind, jubilantly clapping
his hands as it flies into the trees.

"Why did you do that?" I shriek.

"Well it seemed like a waste of time to go after just one!" he responds
logically. He'll make someone a fine husband someday.

All week long my children have been denying that the kitchen trash
needs to be emptied, jumping up and down on the contents to compress them.
As a result, when I drag the plastic container from under the sink, it
weighs as much as a collapsed star. I wrestle it to the end of the
driveway and the neighborhood dogs trot up to see what the Camerons will
have on the breakfast buffet this morning.

My daughter is right; we do throw too much stuff away. By the time
we're finished, we've dragged so much junk out to the end of my driveway it
resembles the inside of my garage. The shredder falls silent and the
kids go to school, and what passes for peace at the Cameron house
settles over the morning. Until next Wednesday.

    -------------------------------------

    an Efficiency funny

An efficiency expert concluded his lecture with a note of caution. "You
don't want to try these techniques at home."

"Why not?" asked somebody from the audience.

"I watched my wife's routine at breakfast for years," the expert
    explained.

"She made lots of trips between the refrigerator, stove, table and
cabinets, often carrying a single item at a time. One day I told her, 'Hon,
why don't you try carrying several things at once?'"

"Did it save time?" the guy in the audience asked.

"Actually, yes," replied the expert. "It used to take her 20 minutes to
make breakfast. Now I do it in seven."

    a Driving funny....

The family's teenage son had just received his brand new drivers
    license.

To celebrate, the whole family trooped out to the driveway and climbed
into the car for his inaugural drive.

Dad immediately headed to the back seat, directly behind the newly
    minted driver.

"I'll bet you're back there to get a change of scenery after all those
months of sitting in the front passenger seat teaching me how to
    drive,"
said the beaming boy to his old man.

"Nope," came dad's reply, "I'm gonna sit back here and kick the back of
your seat while you drive, just like you have been doing to me for
    sixteen years."

    Power....byR.S.

Power to Overcome Anything Life Hands You

    By Robert A. Schuller

"But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you My power and that My name might be proclaimed in all the earth." – Exodus 9:16

You might think it's always been easy for me to get up in front of a group and speak. If you had that impression from watching me speak on television or by considering my background, you would be way off the mark. When I felt that God was calling me into the ministry, I was terrified at the thought of speaking in public. The very idea made my hair stand on end and gave me goose bumps, and yet the call of God was so strong and so unmistakable, there was no way I could resist it. I knew there was only one way that I could ever hope to follow God's call and overcome my fear, and that was with God's help.

My fear of speaking in public was so bad that when I was a boy in school I used to sit in the very back corners of the classroom because there was less chance the teacher would call on me. Sometimes when the teacher asked a question, the other kids in class would strain and stretch in an effort to get the teacher to call on them. Not me! I was more apt to drop my pencil on the floor and bend over to pick it up – just to make sure she wouldn't call on me.

This fear of speaking in public followed me into college. I started college with a major in vocal performance, but was too terrified to perform. So in my junior year I changed my major to ancient civilizations. As one of my electives I took speech – not because I wanted to but because I knew that if I were going into the ministry, I was going to have to get over my fear of speaking in public.

It certainly didn't seem that I had been called to be a preacher, and yet, God wouldn't let go of me. He wasn't loud or demanding about it, but it seemed that He kept whispering in my ear, telling me that He wanted me to preach. This was a huge problem and I felt hopeless in the face of it. Did I pray for God to help me overcome my fear? You bet I did. But whatever progress I made was painfully slow. I was afraid of failing God, and felt that it was entirely up to me to overcome my fear. I wanted so much to change but just couldn't seem to do it.

And then one day something amazing happened.

My father and I were scheduled to speak before a women's group that was meeting in the Crystal Cathedral. Prior to the service, he sat down with me and we went over the outline we had prepared. As we did, I felt that same old anxiety, the sense of dread and fear. But as I opened my mouth to speak, the peace of God seemed to descend on me. It happened in an instant. Not only was I not afraid, but I was actually enjoying myself. I knew that God was supplying me with His own power.

From that moment on, I've rarely been afraid to speak before a group. I know, without question, that on that particular day in the Crystal Cathedral I received a gift from God that enabled me to overcome the greatest obstacle in my life. There is no other way to account for what happened and for the change it brought to me.

God helped me to overcome my fear. He provided restoration. He can and will do the same for you.

Fear and anxiety give power to the problem, often keeping us from the solution.
    * * *
O God, You are greater than I am. Your power can erase every fear and anxiety in my life. You have done this. You will do this as I trust in You.

    YOU---I Can---Equipment.........

    EQUIPMENT

Figure it out for yourself, my lad.
You've got all that the greatest of men have had,
Two arms, two hands, two legs, two eyes,
And a brain to use if you would be wise.
With this equipment they all began,
So start from the top and say, "I Can."

Look them over, the wise and the great,
They take their food from a common plate,
And similar knives and forks they use,
With similar laces they tie their shoes.
The world consider them brave and smart,
But you've got all they had when they made their start.

You can triumph and come to skill,
You can be great if you only will.
You're well equipped for the fight you choose,
You have arms and legs and a brain to use.
And the man who has risen great deeds to do,
Began his life with no more than you.

You are the handicap you must face,
You are the one who must choose your place,
You must say where you want to go,
How much you will study the truth to know.
God has equipped you for life, but He
Lets you decide what you want to be.

Courage must come from the soul within,
The man must furnish the will to win,
So figure it out for yourself, my lad,
You were born with all the great have had,
With your equipment they all began.
Get hold of yourself and say:  "I Can.".

    what is a friend???

A good friend is worth more than gold, for they
will stick by you through good times or bad. For, A MAN
WHO HAS FRIENDS MUST HIMSELF BE FRIENDLY, BUT
THERE IS A FRIEND WHO STICKS CLOSER THAN A
       BROTHER.  ( PROVERBS 18:24 )

Jesus Christ is such a friend, for He has said: "YOU ARE
MY FRIENDS IF YOU DO WHATEVER I COMMAND YOU.
NO LONGER DO I CALL YOU SERVANTS, FOR A SERVANT
DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HIS MASTER IS DOING; BUT I
HAVE CALLED YOU FRIENDS, FOR ALL THINGS THAT I
HEARD FROM MY FATHER I HAVE MADE KNOWN TO
       YOU."   ( JOHN 15:15-16 )

Therefore I will share a poem with you about our dearest
friend, Jesus Christ.  I hope that you will enjoy it!

                          The Dearest Friend!

I have a Friend in Jesus,
                        He's ever walking near
                        To share my every burden
                        And take away my fear.

It's in His precious name I pray
                        To our God above;
It's through His sacred teachings that
I learned the way to love.

God did not put me on this earth
                        To walk life's path alone;
He sent His Son to be my Guide,
                        The dearest Friend I've known.

No other One could be so true,
                        He bore the cross for me;
Because He died for my sins
                        I must ever faithful be.

If you are lonely on life's way
And feel that no one cares,
You have a Friend in Jesus
If you will kneel in prayer.

    the LOVE of GOD..........by C.S.

    -  God's Perfect Love -  1 John 4:7-9
We were created to be members of God's family and recipients of His perfect love. Through the sacrifice of His Son Jesus, He demonstrated just how much He loves us.
When we receive Christ as our Savior, we become His children. We experience His unconditional love. Divine affection for us doesn't vary in quality or quantity. It'll never end or even diminish. No circumstance can cause the Lord to stop loving us.
We see these truths lived out in the lives of three people in the New Testament.
First, consider the Roman soldier who asked Jesus to heal his servant. The soldier's request wasn't ignored because he wasn't one of the Jews, which were God's chosen people. Seeing the man's genuine faith, the Lord granted his request out of love for him.
Jesus also extended His forgiving love to the crucified thief who confessed his guilt and expressed faith in Christ.
And lastly, before his conversion, the apostle Paul was convinced Jesus wasn't the promised Messiah. Paul believed His followers must be stopped. To that end, Paul persecuted the Christian Jews and uttered murderous threats against the church. God's love didn't even skip over one so violently opposed to His children. On the road to Damascus, the Lord appeared to Paul with an offer of salvation and gave him a great work to do. He asked Paul to spread His word to the Gentile world.
The human mind can't fully comprehend divine love. In Christ, thieves, persecutors, and those who may look like outsiders are all equally loved.

    Standing against the World.........by C.S.

     -   Standing Against the World  -  1 John 4:4-6
An example of the antichrist movement is the campaign to remove Christian symbols from public places. Advocates use buzzwords like "religious freedom" to mean freedom from religion. Those listening, even some believers, are fooled into agreeing that worship should be private. The subtle motive often goes unnoticed to push Jesus out of society.
The world finds Christ offensive. Many people today claim we each can design our own belief system. But Jesus said faith in Him is the only way to a relationship with the Father.
Another worldly, antichrist idea is doing what feels right is fine, as long as no one gets hurt. Yet, Jesus taught that sin of any action, thought, or attitude contrary to God's principles has consequences.
Antichrist philosophies will often sound persuasive because Satan designs lies to appeal to human nature. Therefore, believers must know right from wrong. The Lord has provided three guides for safely navigating through life.
First, the Holy Spirit enables us to discern God's facts from Satan's fiction. Next, Scripture explains the truth about the Trinity and the divine plan for mankind. Finally, we have access to righteous people who preach and teach authentic Christianity.
Even if some unbelievers try to erase Jesus Christ's name from society, they can't remove all of His followers. We need to stand firmly rooted in Scripture and proclaim the gospel. God can work through us and win souls for His glory.

the Spirit of the Antichrist....by C.S.

    -  The Spirit of the Antichrist  -  1 John 4:1-3
When the word "antichrist" is used, the reference is usually to the Antichrist, who will spread rebellion across the earth. But, two additional meanings are found in 1 John 4.
First, the expression alludes to a spirit or attitude opposed to Jesus. Second, it describes men and woman who embody that spirit by contradicting scriptural truth.
An anti-Christ mindset is active in our culture. Newspapers, movies, and books dispute the Lord's deity. They then cast doubt on the truth of His death and resurrection. Instead of embracing Jesus as God's Son and Savior of the world, antichrists seek to recast Him as a wise teacher or good man with high ideals.
Such denials of Christ are not logical. In John 14:6, the Lord said of Himself, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me." If Jesus is something other than what He claimed, He must be either a fraud or a lunatic. In which case, the antichrists would be holding up a most undesirable person as a "wise teacher."
Denying Christ's deity is also spiritually unsound. If Jesus were not the Son of God, then His death would have been permanent. Without His resurrection, there could be no such thing as salvation by faith.
Some antichrists, while denying Jesus, nevertheless claim to believe in God and heaven. Yet Matthew 10:33 states their denial will keep them from eternity with the Father.
The Bible insists Jesus is God's Son. He died for our sins and rose again. To combat the spirit of antichrist, we must read Scripture and believe it.

    Our PURPOSE in GOD's Plan.....by C.S.

     -  Our Purpose in God's Plan  - 1 Peter 4:9-11
God doesn't need the help of any man or woman to accomplish His purposes. However, He has chosen to spread the gospel by means of His children. As one person tells another the good news of Jesus Christ, the story of hope and love spreads around the globe.
Consider each modern Christian is a spiritual descendant of the original disciples. Those men spent several years with Jesus. After His ascension, they preached what they'd learned from Him to anyone who'd listen. They also offered a helping hand where needed.
The grace and mercy demonstrated in word and action had a ripple effect. It spread outward from those first followers of Christ. It went across distance and time to hundreds, then thousands and even billions of individuals around the world.
But some people still have never heard Jesus loves them and died for their sins. This is why we're called to serve family, friends, and neighbors. Loved ones see God's grace lived out when we offer a helping hand, share the gospel, or lift them up in prayer.
To deny this call is to sin against the Lord. Our purpose is to serve God. The primary way we do that is by caring for those around us.
We can offer God many reasons for not serving Him such as weakness, inadequacy, and fear. But no excuse changes the mandate of Scripture. We are the Lord's feet, hands, and voice on earth. We go where He wills. We help those in need. We tell all about the love of Jesus.

Can GOD Use You ???? by C.S.

    -   Can God Use You?  -  Luke 10:38-42
Martha of Bethany welcomed Jesus into her home. Her act of service may seem small compared to works like the apostle Paul's missionary trips and letters. But she and her family provided a place of rest and refreshment for the Savior. This act must have been a welcome pause in His busy week.
It's true that Jesus once corrected Martha for placing too much emphasis on the details of hospitality. But when He visited her home, He no doubt anticipated food and fellowship with people He loved.
God's plan for every believer is made up of a lifetime of small opportunities. No matter what our career or calling may be. We should each seek ways to serve the Lord daily. We do this by ministering wherever we are to family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers.
The Lord gives His children gifts and talents for fulfilling His purpose. So, we know He wants to use us. The question we should be asking is, "Can God use me?"  That is, have we made ourselves available to follow Him in any circumstance?
The areas of service set aside specifically for us are waiting. No one knows ahead of time exactly what God will require, but we can be sure He'll equip us with the right tools for the task.
Are you ready to say "yes, God can use me?" Tell the Lord that you're available to work for Him in any way He desires. He will respond by placing people and opportunities in your path. Through His strength, you'll do more to further the kingdom than you ever imagined. One day and one small act of service at a time.

    train up a child

Wednesday, June 25, 2008 - Training Your Children Deuteronomy 6:4-7

Proverbs 22:6 states, "Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it." Training involves purposeful, consistent, and diligent actions. But one research project found, on average, fathers in America spend five minutes or less each day talking with their children.

God has a plan to train children as He intended. Teaching our kids starts with a foundation of love. All people, especially the young, desperately need to feel accepted, loved, and valued. If they don't find validation at home, they'll look elsewhere. Children need to hear their parents say things like, "I love you," "I value you," and "You have what it takes."

A second part of training a child involves the parent's relationship with God. We can't share what we don't have. A person's relationship with Jesus must be real and exciting. Otherwise, it'll be impossible to teach others about how to have intimacy with the Lord.

You can use two effective training tools with children. The first one is your testimony. Share what God is doing in your life. The second tool is your example. A powerful lesson is driven home when a child sees his parent admitting fault, asking for forgiveness, or expressing gratitude for God's mercy. The stakes are high. If we disobey the Lord and fail to teach our little ones correctly, we make them vulnerable to the world's teaching. Not only does this harm our precious children; it also hinders the next generation.

    Tuesday, June 17, 2008  -  Saving Faith  - John 1:12-13
Faith in Christianity involves several elements. Knowledge of who Jesus is and what He did must come from confidence. We need to know the facts are true and apply to us. We must start by realizing that I have broken God's law. That makes me a sinner. All of us are born with a rebellious nature against the Lord.
To save faith, we acknowledge none of our efforts can earn His favor. We also agree "Jesus died for me." He paid for all our sins, no matter how terrible they are in the world's eyes.
Next, we believe Jesus' death is sufficient payment for our wrongdoing. Nothing else is needed. We must accept He paid our penalty and endured the Father's wrath in our place.
Finally, we accept by faith that we've been adopted into God's family on the basis of Christ's (sorrowful) atoning death. The invitation is for the world, but not everyone has true conviction. Too many people see these facts as "information" rather than life-altering truths.
Once we're convinced Jesus is our Savior, trust is demonstrated through action.
As "new creatures," we're no longer who we once were. Second Corinthians 5:17 says there are different values and priorities for us to embrace. Jesus, our Lord, has authority over our lives. He alone deserves to be our top priority. He knows what pleases the Father. Jesus has sent His Spirit to live in us and teach us.
Take time to examine yourself for evidence of knowledge, conviction, and trust. If one area is lacking, ask the Father to help you come to true saving faith.

The Rewards of Patience -- Hebrews 6:13-15 by Charles Stanley

The Rewards of Patience -- Hebrews 6:13-15
Welcome to the In Touch Devotional. Patience is a hard lesson for us to learn. We don't like patience. We don't have time for patience! Life is fast, time's running out, and we've got to get this show on the road, right?
This is clearly how most of us act, even if we don't express it. Perhaps that's why Scripture includes so many examples of godly patience and reward. Over and over, we see the Father making promises to His children, only to have them wait years, sometimes decades, for the promise to be fulfilled. But the result of that patience is always blessing.
Consider Abraham. At age 75, he was given God's promise of a son. 10 years later, he was still waiting. Fifteen years passed, then 20, and still no son. Finally, when Abraham was 100, a quarter-century after God had made the promise, baby Isaac was born. Surely Abraham had times of doubt during those 25 years. Yet he continued to trust God and kept watching for the fulfillment of His promise.
There are plenty of other examples. As a young man, Jacob met the girl of his dreams, but he worked many years before making her his bride. Joseph had a God-given vision of blessing at age 17 but languished 13 years in slavery and prison before receiving the reward. David was anointed King of Israel as a teenager but spent the next 14 years or so running for his life before taking the throne.
Shortcuts never lead to where God wants us to be. The long road, however, is filled with faithful servants. Are you waiting on the Lord today? Be encouraged. You're in good company.

    Jesus' ministry

If Jesus were to do His same ministry on earth today, He would be
    wanted by...

..the FDA for turning water into wine without a license,

..the EPA for killing fig trees,

..the AMA for practicing medicine without a license,

..the Dept. of Health for asking people to open graves, for raising the
dead and for feeding 5,000 people in the wilderness,

..the NEA for teaching without a certificate,

..OSHA for walking on water without a life-jacket and for flying
    without an airplane,

..the SPCA for driving hogs into the sea,

..the National Board of Psychiatrists for giving advice on how to live
    a guilt-free life,

..and by the Zoning Dept. for building mansions without a permit.
